In the
spring of
2008, after
completing
the
year-long Leadership
St. Tammany
program,
designed to
equip
emerging
community
leaders,
David Ellis
- a longtime
St. Tammany
resident -
began
considering
the idea of
building a
community
web portal
for the
Northshore.

Inspired
by what
he
learned
through
Leadership
St.
Tammany,
and
eager to
expand
his
community
involvement, David began
building
Northshore
Links into
the
online
resource
it is
today. NorthshoreLinks.com
was
launched
July 1,
2008,
and has
been
going
strong
ever
since.
Update:
In Jan.,
2010, David Ellis
was nominated and
unanimously voted in as the
newest Board Member of the
Alumni Foundation of Leadership
St. Tammany.
In
April,
2010,
David
was also
elected
to serve
on the
board of
the
Three
Rivers
Art
Festival. |
An online resource for
Northshore residents and
visitors alike,
Northshore Links
provides local news,
weather, sports, event
calendars, an online
forum, great
topical and local blogs, and
links to organizations,
businesses, restaurants,
entertainment, schools,
colleges, city and
parish contacts,
libraries, parks,
recreation, churches,
TV, radio, classifieds,
maps, phone books,
coupons, and much more.
With a strong community
focus, Northshore Links
has had the privilege of
partnering with and
promoting a number of
community organizations
including the Mary Bird
Perkins Cancer Center, Upward
Community
Services, Habitat for
Humanity, the Food Bank
of Covington, St.
Tammany Art
Association, Hospice
Foundation of the South,
local women's
shelters Safe Harbor,
St. Tammany Hospital
Foundation, le

Fest, Mandeville Seafood

Heritage Festival among

In an
effort to give back,
5% of Northshore
Links total revenue
is donated to local
non-profit
organizations.

David is a
Baylor graduate,
and also holds
an MBA from LSU.
While completing
his MBA, David
began his career
with Gilsbar,
Inc., as an
award-winning
Top Producer,
selling health
insurance in
Louisiana,
Mississippi, and
Alabama.
David then spent
two years in
Chicago working
for IBM as a
Financial
Analyst,
followed by two
years as a
Senior Financial
Accountant at
IBM's New York
office.

After
four years with IBM, David returned to St. Tammany to
raise his family and work in
his father’s insurance company,
Robert Ellis & Associates, where
his energies have been
focused on growth and
development, helping the
business succeed via direct
sales and account management.
David holds a number of
insurance industry
certifications, and
has accumulated ten years of
experience in the health
insurance industry.
David is also actively involved
in our our community. He
currently serves as the St.
Tammany West Chamber’s
representative on the Mandeville
Municipal Civil Service Board.
He has served on the Chamber
Ambassadors Council, and is the
past Chairman of the Chamber’s Health
Insurance Task Force.
David is also involved in
leadership roles with other
local associations.
In 2008, David participated in
the 'Leadership St. Tammany'
program, an annual training
experience designed to encourage
and equip leaders in our
community. David's
commitment to service goes back
to his years as a Boy Scout,
where he attained the rank of
Eagle Scout.
Being actively involved in our
community, and inspired by his
'Leadership St. Tammany'
experience, David founded
Northshore
Links,
GNO Links
and
Baton Rouge Links
in 2008,
with an
emphasis on local awareness, service, and
leadership. Ellis
Webvertising is proud to
contribute 5% of total revenue
to local non-profit
organizations
serving our community.

Sheri is
a native
New
Orleanian, |

raised on the
Northshore.
She's a busy
woman, as a wife
and mother of
three children.

successful
business she
opened in 2004
in Abita
Springs.
Since 2006,
Sheri has served

Councilwoman and
Mayor Pro Tem
